Need a Father’s Blessing?

Dear Faithful One,
Do you suffer from a father wound? Do you secretly long for someone to be a father figure in your life and to affirm you as a favorite child?
In John 16:32, Jesus said to those around him, “You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.” NIV. The confidence Jesus demonstrated in His life was because He had solid roots, grounded in the love of His father. What about you?
The next time you feel insecure because you either never had a father or because you lost a father, please remember that God the Father so loved us that He gave up His son for us. The Apostle Paul spoke of our spiritual roots this way in Eph 3:17-19: And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. NIV
May the love of God the Father carry you today and throughout the rest of your life!
When I pray for you, I hear a victory song. I believe in you because I believe in the power of God’s Word in you as you put His Word into action.
